McMaster University Animated Therapy Video

McMaster University commissioned us to create a short animated video to introduce people to a therapeutic tool they utilize for PTSD work called The Act Matrix.

Challenge

McMaster University was developing resources centered around PTSD with an emphasis on front line workers in the health care profession. They looked to us to develop fun and engaging videos that would draw audiences to the tools and resources they had created.

Solution

We worked with the client to develop a short animation featuring a character who encounters scenarios that are relatable to the target audience (frontline nurses). Our writer worked with the therapists who utilize the Act Matrix in their practice to distill the core techniques into a short 5 minutes video. And during the storyboarding phase we collaborated with the client to create scenarios that depicted the lived experience of healthcare workers in a way that was approachable yet relatable.
